Background: If you are constantly feeling that people are draining energy and life from you, maybe it is because they are. When one has reached a certain level of spiritual advancement, it is quite common to be severely out of balance relative to giving and receiving. Usually because receiving is easier, giving has to be taught and ingrained in the spirit (as in the old saying "it is better to give than to receive").
Like anything else, the desire to give, if taken to extremes and not balanced by receiving, can deplete an individual. Creating a "Psychic Shield" allows you to receive and give love while maintaining the integrity of your energy field.
When creating a "Psychic Shield", what this means (and
does not mean) is:
Goal: When you are unable to establish a healthy energetic balance with your environment, this exercise allows you to protect the space around you. This is achieved by you intentionally and deliberately creating a powerful energy shield around you. This allows in only what is like love and keeps out what is not.
Careful preparation is the key to the success of this exercise.
1> When creating the protective "Psychic Shield" around you, pay special attention to any chakra that is weak. Here is what the chakras represent:
Crown: involves your religious beliefs and experiences.
2> Be patient with yourself for a month or so. "Protecting your own energy" by creating a "Psychic Shield" can be quite disorienting at first. It is VERY powerful and it takes time for the work that you have done on the inner bodies to be reflected in your outer body ("as above, so below"). If you are doing this process to effect a change, then you should be fully prepared to expect a change. You know the old saying: "Be careful what you wish for, you might get it!"
3> Being comfortable and totally
relaxed while building the shield is the key.
4> Do this exercise in a place where you will be completely quiet and undisturbed for the entire session. This should last NO longer than 30 minutes. Set an alarm or timer to snap you out of it should the session run longer.
1> Before getting up in the morning, while lying down in your bed, become completely relaxed and try to lie as straight as you possibly can - as long as you are comfortable while doing so - and close your eyes. You will be building an energy shield around yourself to help you manage your sensitivity to your environment.
2> Imagine a bright bubble of golden white healing light that is as tall and as wide as your body. See the bubble settling down over you so that it completely covers you from head to toe, from front to back, from side to side, so that you are totally inside it and surrounded by its power and protection.
3> Take a deep breath in and imagine that you are pulling in the golden bubble of light so that it fits over your skin as snuggly as comfortably fitting clothes. The idea here is that you are building an extra layer of energy skin around you... that will help you to balance the "vibes" that you are receiving from other people around you as well as from our extremely electro-magnetically polluted environment.
4> Declare aloud to the universe that "I am whole and complete within myself. I am completely protected and safe wherever I will go today. I only allow the harmonious energy of love and peace to enter through this shield... all else will be reflected back to the source with love".
5> You are ready to begin your day. Do not take the shield off... just build it up around you day by day... each piece being like another coat of energy paint around you. This does not lessen your sensitivity... it just makes living with it easier to manage because you are receiving only powerful, positive energy.
6> When the shield is sufficiently built up... it is no longer necessary to add to it every day... just add to it once a week to keep it in top form. You will know that it is working when you no longer feel unduly sensitive to the energy of others.
Example: Those who are energetically sensitive are usually physically sensitive as well. Practicing this exercise has helped many manage their chemical sensitivity along with their energy sensitivity and feel more grounded in their environment.
