Background on This Exercise
Background: Vibrant Health is an inside job. You cannot be healthy in your body unless you are first thinking healthy thoughts in your mind. It is all easy to give into despair and hopelessness when you have been ill for a long time, especially when you were born sickly and have never experienced health in this life. The sicker you are in your body, the more important it is to think healthy thoughts in your mind.
Goal: The thoughts in this exercise are the ones you want to think when you are developing healthy thinking. If you can, you should do the full exercise twice daily. Yet you should think these healthy thoughts continuously. That is, do not think them twice a day and then forget them until it is time to do the exercise again. The goal of this exercise is to continuously impress your mind with these healthy thoughts.
1> Most people need to do this exercise daily for at least a month before they begin to feel the effects of the correct healthy thinking. So you will probably need to have some patience with the process. Yet if you are patient and have a sincere desire to heal, you will be successful in creating healthy thinking.
2> Remember to do this process slowly. You must focus on completely relaxing your body and your mind so that the healthy thinking can be embedded into your subconscious mind. Each time you do this exercise you will go ever more deeply into yourself. The deeper you go, the more you will develop healthy thinking.
3> Ask for your Higher Self, your Guides, your Guardian angels, and whatever other servants of the universe you like to be present for the entire session and to keep you safe and protected at all times while developing healthy thinking.
4> Being comfortable is the key. You can lie down (recommended)
or sit up. If you opt to sit up, you must be supported and feel fully
relaxed and comfortable. Be sure to loosen any restrictive clothing.
5> Do this exercise in a peaceful place where you will be completely quiet and undisturbed for the entire session when you are fairly well rested (so you will NOT fall asleep). You must consciously FOCUS on all this for it to work. This entire exercise should last for NO longer than 45 minutes (it is best to do this in bed upon waking). Set an alarm or timer to snap you out of it should the session run longer.
1> Start by releasing all cares and worries from your mind. Continue by breathing deeply and imagining that you are exhaling any negative emotions with each breath. Let your attention travel over your body from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet. Let your attention pass up from your spinal cord and out through the top of your head. As you do this final relaxing process, here is what to think:
2> Bring your attention to your spinal cord and think: "My nerves are in perfect order all over my body. They obey my will, and I have great nerve force."
3> Bring your attention to your lungs and think: "I am breathing deeply and quietly, and the air goes into every cell of my lungs, which are in perfect condition. My blood and my body are purified and made clean."
4> Bring your attention to your heart and think: "My heart is beating strongly and steadily: it is sound, sturdy, and serves me well. My circulation is perfect: my blood flows perfectly, from the top of my head to the tips of my toes."
5> Bring your attention to your digestive system and think: "My stomach and bowels perform their work perfectly. My food is digested and assimilated and my body rebuilt and nourished. My liver, kidneys, and bladder each perform their functions perfectly. I am perfectly well and properly nourished."
6> Bring your attention inside yourself and think: "My body is resting, my mind is quiet, my emotions are calm, and my soul is at peace. God, who is within me, is also in all things I want, always moving them toward me. All that I want is already given to me. I am perfectly well and healthy. I am at peace and filled with love and hope. I filled with positive and loving thoughts. I give love. I receive love. I am love. I am at peace with all beings. I always follow the course of action in accordance with my highest ideals. I am right and I will do right. I completely trust in myself and in my abilities. All is well for me!"
7> Bring yourself to a healthy VIEWPOINT: "All is right with the world. It is now advancing to completion. It is all very good. I contemplate the facts of life only from this high viewpoint. I see all human beings: all my family, friends, coworkers, neighbors, acquaintances, and strangers in the same way. They are all good. Nothing is wrong with life. Nothing can be wrong but my own attitude, and so I always keep that right. My whole trust is in God."
8> Bring yourself to a healthy view of CONSECRATION: "I obey my soul and am true to my highest inner self. I search within for the pure idea of right in all things, and I express it in my outward life. I easily let go of what no longer serves me and I embrace what is the best for me. I have the highest thoughts concerning all my decisions and relationships. My manner and action always expresses these thoughts. I surrender my body, my mind, and my emotions to the dominion of my soul. I give my soul to the guidance of God."
9> Bring yourself to a healthy view of IDENTIFICATION: "There is but one substance and source, and of that I am made and with it I am one. It is God! I proceeded forth and came from God. My God and I are one, and my God is greater than I, and I do God's will. I surrender myself to conscious unity with Pure Spirit that one is everywhere. I am one with the Eternal Consciousness."
10> Bring yourself to a healthy view of IDEALIZATION: Form a mental picture of yourself as you want to be at the greatest height your imagination can picture. Dwell upon this as you think: "This great picture of myself is who I really am: it is a picture of my own soul. I am this now inside my soul, and I am becoming this great soul in outward manifestation more each and every day."
11> Bring yourself to a healthy view of REALIZATION: "I draw in the power to become what I want to be, and to do what I want to do. I exercise divine creative energy: all the power there is is mine. I go forth with confidence. I do mighty works in the strength of God. I trust: for God is with me."
12> Rest awhile and let the power of this affirmations sink into your mind. Believe, expect, and allow vibrant health into your body, mind, and emotions: it will be so.
Example: Fans of Wallace Wattles will recognize that there has been some small editing of his affirmations. Mainly these edits have been to eliminate any negative statements (no, not, never) from the affirmations and turn them positive. When it comes to creating health, you cannot afford the luxury of a negative thought!
