Short Description:
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) is group of hereditary genetic disorders
which severely weakens an individual's skin, joints, blood, and other
organs due to malfunctioning collagen (cellular glue keeping skin
tightly bound).
Causes:
Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) sufferers have these types of karma:
*
Scurvy Karma:
In past lives, the EDS sufferer was a soldier
on extended marches or sailor on a ships out to sea longer than perishable
fruits and vegetables could be stored. Over time, this resulted in a
lack of Vitamin C in the body which, in turn, interferes with the
creation of collagen. Scurvy creates spongy gums, liver spots on the
skin, and bleeding from mucous membranes. Those who gave scurvy to
others by their actions in the past lives have EDS now.
*
Dragging Karma:
In past lives, the EDS sufferer either gave
or received dragging torture. Romans would drag criminals at the
back of chariots until they died. Huns inflicted punishments on
their soldiers by having horses drag them around a track for a
specified number of times. Sea captains would punish sailors by
tying them to the back of the ship and dragging them through the
water. Stretched skin and dislocated joints were the result.
*
Rack Karma:
In past lives, the EDS sufferer was racked or
participated in the racking of others. The rack was a torture device
where the individual's wrists and ankles were bound to rollers which
moved in opposite directions. When the rollers are turned, the
victim's joints, ligaments, muscles, and skin were torn apart.
EDS simulates this experience of "rack aftermath" by making the
skin hyperextensible (stretchy) and the joints hypermobile (dislocated).
*
Exhibition Karma:
In past lives, the EDS sufferer exploited
others by displaying them as "freaks of nature". Most often, they
were unusually cruel to the "freaks" in their care by beating them
and by forcing them to endure "inhuman" conditions. Their own
dramatic deformity makes others in society treat them as "freaks" now.
Symptoms:
Collagen keeps "normal" cells tightly bound together. The collagen
of EDS sufferers malfunctions and appears misshapen and loose under
a microscope. This results in the following skin and joint symptoms.
*
Skin Hyperextensibility:
In the most extreme and rare
circumstances, EDS produces "paper thin, stretchy" skin. This skin
is twice as thin as normal skin and can be pulled away from the body.
When the skin is stretched out, it still retains its normal elasticity
and it will snap back into place once it is released.
*
Skin Fragility & Folds:
The skin can be easy split and this
leaves scars, especially where the skin is stretched tightly over bones
(forehead, chin, elbows, knees, and ankles). Extra folds of skin may
appear around the eyes.
*
Skin Lumps:
"Molluscoid pseudo-tumours" can over pressure
points at the elbows and knees. "Spheroids of fibers" and "calcified
fat" can overlay bony areas. "Piezogenic papules" can appear on the
side of the heel.
*
Joints Hypermobile:
Joints get lax due to the extra elasticity
of the ligaments resulting from the collagen abnormality. The joints
are easily susceptible to being dislocated without any significant
external force or trauma.
After Effects:
EDS sufferers should get plenty of Vitamin C and to take steps to
protect their skin and joints from the sun. They also need to be
on guard against injury (tearing, bruising, etc) as surgery on EDS
is very complex. While past life exploration can help the EDS sufferer
understand why they have this disorder, the karma has been completed...
EDS is a life sentence carried out inside the womb.
Advice:
If EDS sufferers are willing to accept responsibility for and heal
the past... their guilt over having it can end sooner. The good
news is that the EDS person's experience is never wasted. Every
moment of their life is rich in experience and karmic burnoff.
The best news is EDS is experienced once during an individual's
incarnations. Since this is a very intense form of karmic correction
it can only be experienced once regardless of whether the karma
is balanced or not.

is included in the above descriptions of EDS syndromes.
