FAQ: Do we continue to reincarnate with the same group of people? Life is so closely and so intimately connected. The people in your family, at your work, and among your friends have very probably been with you before in one of your past lives. Before we go on the adventure of our lives, we agree to come into certain relationships with others. These relationships are designed to help us resolve our problems with these people while at the same time helping us to work through our own issues. [Example] The goal of reincarnation is to open us to greater levels of love. This becomes both easier and harder when we reincarnate with the same group of people over time. Easier when we meet those we already love. Harder when we meet those we already hate. But there is a secret weapon against hate: Loving Kindness. One of the "occupational hazards" of being a past life channeler is knowing the precise karmic relationship that I have to everyone in my life. Trust me when I say be glad that you do not know all your present day "karmic connections": for in the immortal words of "Kramer" ("Seinfeld"): "it will burn your brain, man!" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example: Family Karma: An example of the intimate connections that exist between past and present lives can be illustrated by a client's family situation. Born to a life of poverty in Ireland in a past life, this client had been a woman condemned to transportation after her father (her mother in this life) spoke out against the English authorities. The Captain of the ship (her sister in this life) beat and abused her while enroute to Australia. Once there, she was sold to an abusive farm owner (her husband in this life). He beat her so cruelly that she ended up killing him in self defense. The judge (her elder son in this life) took pity on her and sentenced her to a mental hospital instead of condemning her to death. Yet she could not bear being locked away - it severely depressed her. A kindly worker at the hospital (her second son) tried to help her adjust to her confinement but she could not. Mercifully, she died fairly quickly after entering the hospital. |
