FAQ: Is there such a thing as a "definitive past life?"

Like many past life workers, I believe we now are the sum of all our experiences: all that has gone before and all that is dreamed to come after. Unlike many past life workers, I believe that each person has had one past life which defines them more than any other. [Example]

This is not to say we cannot redefine ourselves: because we do so with every new incarnation. But that "definitive lifetime" - if it did not turn out the way we wanted - will always cry out for healing at some point in our journey.

[Example] Definitive life: A client very much wished to be in a committed loving marriage. Nearing 40, she was becoming seriously concerned that she had not found a partner. She was smart, confident, capable, generous, kind, and extra- ordinarily attractive. She was greatly influenced by a "definitive" past life in Egypt.

This client had reincarnated into a body in this life that looked almost identical to the one she occupied in that past life. In Egypt, she had been a trusted and loyal servant of a Pharoah. As proof of her dedication, she had agreed to be made a female eunuch and never to marry. Yet she did fall in love with a man who at first had resisted getting to know her because he knew they could not be wed.

Soon the strength of their love drew them together. They had a very happy and satisfying relationship for many years until he was murdered by one of her political rivals. She found it hard to forgive herself for his death, mistakenly believing it was all her fault. The pain of his loss was so intense that she shut down her heart in that lifetime and in many others that followed (including this one).

Knowing what had gone before gave her the choice to step out of her self imposed punishment and to attract the relationship that she wants and deserves.
