"You are the source of your own abundance". When I first read those words years ago,
my reaction was "Yeah, right!" At the time, I was deeply in debt in the wake of a
highly karmic divorce. Soon after, my employer closed the division I worked
for... so my well paying job was gone as well. I remember vividly how angry those
words made me... I still have a dent in the wall where I threw the offending book
against it. And yet, like most truth, those three words
stayed with me: time and experience proved their wisdom.
As those who are blessed with mental riches know, jobs are easy to get when
you have the skills, training, and valuable work experience. As those who are
blessed with physical riches know, it is easy to manage your life when you have high
energy and vibrant health. As those who are blessed with emotional riches know, it
is easy to live a peaceful and happy life when you are calm, confident, and centered.
The true riches in life - physical, mental, and emotional gifts - exist
solely inside you. Ask anyone who always feels exhausted or in pain how priceless
the gifts of high energy and vibrant health are. Ask anyone who struggles with
mastering tasks or learning information how priceless the gifts of common sense and
intelligence are. Ask anyone whose runaway emotions cause them to harm themselves
or others how priceless being calm, confident, and centered is.
So for those of you searching for the greatest riches in life, start by
looking in the mirror. Count the blessings that you have. Take a moment to be
grateful for your gifts. If you are even thinking you have no gifts, let me stop
you right there. No one is admitted to Earth unless they bring a gift along with
them. So you do have a gift, even if you cannot see it, it is there... someday you
will realize it.

From MSNBC News: "The Politics of Rage: Why Do They Hate Us (in America)? The ones
we have heard so far have been comforting but familiar. We stand for freedom and
they hate it. We are rich and they envy us. We are strong and they resent this. All
of which is true."
And yet the rest of this article goes onto to ignore all
of these true and important points. What was really under attack on September 11,
2001 was abundance: of the political kind: freedom, of the economic kind: wealth,
and of the personal kind: strength and power.
Abundance is powerful because it always presents us with a tough choice:
whether we will use it's power to help or to harm others. Those who orchestrated the
9/11 attack on world civilization...
They could have used their abundance to build hospitals to heal the sick instead of
killing people - not just from America but from 80 countries around
the world...
They could have used their abundance to build schools and trained their people on
how to create their own wealth instead of training fanatics to massacre
civilians...
They could have used their abundance to finance banks to empower others to achieve
their dreams instead of creating a wall of money to hide from human authorities.
And yet the architects of this attack are not hidden from the even hand of karma
which ensures that as "they have sown the wind, they shall reap the whirlwind". As
with all highly karmic events of global significance, 9/11 gives us the opportunity to learn
important lessons.
Among them are lessons about the true nature of abundance.
First, that abundance is empowerment. That terrorists had to come to our
schools to learn how to fly planes, had to use our free Internet to coordinate the
attacks, and had to use our jets but could only take out two of our buildings... shows
essentially how powerless they were. For they could only succeed by using our
own strength against us.
Second, that the true abundance resides in the minds and the hearts of
people. The many moving stories of the courage of people attacked as well as the
rescue workers who came to their aid is enough to prove this point as is the outpouring
of support worldwide afterward.
Third, that all forms of abundance even those under attack - freedom, wealth,
strength - are readily available outside of America to those who believe that it is
and make the conscious choice to use their God given gifts to manifest it into their
personal reality.
Take freedom. Under the Taliban regime in Afghanistan, despite the terrible
restrictions on the freedoms of women, one very brave and abundant woman ran a popular
beauty parlor even though, if she were caught, it meant death for her and her clientele.
And now the Taliban are gone, she is still there and her public beauty parlor is
thriving.
Take wealth. There have always been millionaires in the Soviet Union. Under
communism, these black marketers had to keep a low profile. Once communism collapsed,
the noveau Russian capitalists began to display their new found wealth by spending
money just as wildly as the most materialistic of their American counterparts.
Take strength. There are some amazing individuals who visit this site for
only 10 minutes at time... because that is all they have. Some stand in line for hours
in government offices (after they are closed) to get a look at the larger world
that can be glimpsed through a computer screen... taking advantage of the abundance
available to them.
Just as every day we in abundant nations enjoy freedom and wealth because
of the strength and sacrifice of others. So in closing, I would like to extend my
thanks to the military, police, firefighters, rescue workers, and all others
who go out to work with the very reasonable prospect of not being alive at the
end of it... simply because they are doing their jobs. They work and make all our
lives better and they are one of the purest forms of abundance in the universe.

Relationships are among the very best things the Earth has to offer. One of the most
powerful things that drives us to come back here life after life is finding others
we have loved so very dearly in past lives.
The thrill of meeting our beloved as if for the first time.
The excitement of learning about them in this new life.
The ecstasy of falling in love with them all over again.
The delicious warmth from falling ever deeper in love over the
years we share as we grow old together.
And yet as much as we wish for the "happily ever after" ending, the pressures,
stresses, and conflicts of the Earth sometimes get the better of us. Many times
the love we have for a beloved past life partner goes wrong in the present.
Often we stay with them when maybe it is in our best interests to go. It is all
too easy to become used to bad or inappropriate behavior or to lose the ability to
recognize it as such.
So often people want to know: what are the warning signs that their relationship
has turned from a dream into a nightmare? If your partner demonstrates five or more of
these warning signs, then you have serious relationship issues that need to be addressed:
Does your partner ignore or dismiss your thoughts or feelings?
Does your partner fail to support your life goals and dreams?
Does your partner resist attempts to improve your relationship?
Does your partner sabotage your attempts to improve yourself?
Does your partner routinely lie to you or fail to keep promises?
Does your partner routinely verbally abuse or demean you?
Does your partner demand sex or doing what is uncomfortable?
Does your partner act unfaithfully: secretively/suspiciously?
Does your partner threaten or practice violence against you?
Does your partner act jealously or controlling of your time?
Does your partner seek to alienate you from friends and family?
Does your partner betray your trust or steal your money?
And yet, I can hear some of you saying: "Well yes, he/she does this but I love
him/her..." So I ask you: "why do you love him/her more than yourself?" And I
warn you... ignoring these warning signs does not solve the problem... it only
aggravates it. For "his/her" behavior will not improve... it is more likely to worsen.
"He/she" may just be stripping you of one freedom at a time until there is
nothing left to take from you but your life. If you think it cannot happen to someone
you know then I ask you to say a prayer for M. who "loved her husband" right up until
the day he killed her.
Love is a wonderful... yet highly karmic thing.
Here is what can help you to love yourself more right now...
If you have a relationship with nothing else in the physical world, you will have a
relationship with money. Go through the day and notice how almost every moment of
every day is very closely connected with either the getting or spending of money.
Most days you go to work to earn the money you will inevitably need to
spend. Whether you live in an apartment or a house, each day that passes means you
have used up one more day of your mortgage or rent payment. Try taking a bus, riding
a train, or driving your car without spending any money. Not to mention having a
physical body which has a habit of wanting to be fed and clothed every day.
If you have a job you hate, money is keeping you there. And because money is
everywhere you want to be, past lives have dominated your attitudes
toward it. Worse, past lives may be keeping you from the enjoying the abundance of
the universe which is your birthright.
Fulfilling God's plan is what the energy of money is all about. No one knew
that better than Mother Theresa of Calcutta. She lived simply in the worst slums in
the poorest part of the industrialized world. AND she successfully carried out her
mission of healing the sick and caring for the needy. Pennies did not rain from
heaven to fund her work.
On the contrary, Mother Theresa was an efficient and skillful fund raiser who
went to wherever the money was. She raised millions of dollars both in the United States
and in Europe to pay for her mission in India. Money did not detract from her amazing
spirituality one bit. In my opinion, Mother Theresa is one of the most magnificent
models of magnified, abundant, and purposeful living from the 20th Century.

"Into the Millions: The Songwriter With Golden Touch"
The past is still present... even in the present day news.
From ABC News Primetime: "Songwriter Extraordinaire": "What do Celine Dion,
Aerosmith, Mary J. Blige and Reba McEntire have in common? They have all had Top 10
hits written by the same woman: Diane Warren. Warren, 45, is a one-woman hit factory.
She has written no fewer than 90 Top 10 songs, and 38 of her songs have gone all the
way to No. 1. Warren's songs have also appeared in more than 80 feature films and
numerous television shows (including "Enterprise"), and her music catalogue is worth
an estimated $500 million (not counting the piles of her unreleased work).
Her hits span genres from pop to rock, from country to rhythm & blues. Remarkably, they
spring from someone who has no formal training in music. Warren, who cannot read
sheet music, does not even understand it herself. 'It's very magical to me,' she
says. 'I don't know where they (the songs) come from, really.'
Her mother, Flora Warren, did not think music was a viable career, and urged
her to learn typing instead so she could make a living as a secretary. But Diane was
determined to follow her instincts.
Her commitment paid off, making her a huge
success, and she has not slowed down since. She still works 16 hours a day and writes
an average of one song a week. She says she has only had one vacation in her whole
career: a 2 ½-day trip to Hawaii. Even then she had a keyboard in her room. 'I'm
more driven and I'm more crazy and intense than I was at 20,' she says. Music is her life."
Songwriter Diane Warren is the embodiment of the spiritual principle: "you
are the source of your own abundance". She followed her heart and it lead her to
a working life immersed in the creative current.
Honoring herself and her love of
music, she made millions despite a "lack of formal training" in this lifetime.
That "formal musical training" Diane Warren had received in many past lives. So
the source of her abundance was not so "very magical". Even though she did not "know
where it came from", she really did not have to.
That is how reincarnation works... skills
and abilities we developed in past lives are always readily accessible to us...
whether or not we can remember exactly where and when we developed them. One of the
reasons we come back in life after life is to bring our skills and abilities to
even greater levels... as Warren certainly has done in this lifetime.

Buried 1,000 feet under the Pacific Ocean, a spacecraft has been accidentally unearthed.
The growth of the coral around the craft indicate it is has been undersea for over 300 years.
The team sent to investigate the craft - psychologist Norman Goodman (Dustin
Hoffman), biochemist Beth Halperin (Sharon Stone), mathematician Harry Adams (Samuel
Jackson), and astrophysicist Ted Fielding (Liev Schreiber) - find evidence the ship
actually came from 300 hundred years in the future.
The most intriguing discovery of all is a perfect Sphere at the center of the
spacecraft. Not long after it is found, a series of disasters befall the team...
resulting in the deaths of all the crew who were responsible for running the undersea
research vessel. A violent storm on the surface forces the team to remain in the
ocean's depths. As they struggle to keep the vessel operating properly, each one of
the team begins to suspect all the others for causing the unnatural disasters.
And they are right... almost too late they discover that the Sphere was a
gift from an advanced alien civilization. It has the power to manifest all their
unconscious thoughts and dreams into reality. Since the team found themselves in a
terrifying situation, the Sphere manifested all the terror - including the deaths -
that unfolded. They realize mankind was not ready for the gift of the Sphere and
so... sensibly... they wished to forget it and sent it back to where it came.
Sphere teaches an important lesson: that the universe can help us to co-create
either our dreams or our nightmares. What it does create for us is what we consistently
invest our recurring thoughts and strongest feelings in. This is the double edged sword
of abundance. The same creative forces that can make our dreams come to life... can
make our existence a living nightmare. So, as the saying goes, be careful what you wish
for... you probably will get it!
