such as sites promoting "techniques" to "get others to do..." what is clearly
not in their own best interests to do. Past Forward is about spreading the
Light and Sound of God throughout the universe and helping others to get what
they need to heal their past and present lives. Sites not interested in doing
the same need not apply for a link.

No Sites violating the written rules of Netiquette
(next) in the "World According to Ellen"! At the present time, I am
actively managing this site. What that means is if you apply for a link
and you have not heard from me in 30 days, it means that I have declined
your request for a link because it does not meet these standards.

Front Ends for "Lower Consciousness":
HealPastLives
is a site of light and is devoted to spreading love and healing through
the universe. So if your site "pretends" to be "spiritual" but is actually
a front end for sites of lower consciousness, I will not trade links. What
this means is that if your site is a "front" whose real purpose is to link
to adult sites, MLMs, dark energy, etc, then I will not trade links with
you. Sorry no appeals to the Court of Ellen.
2>
Heavy Commercial Advertizing:
If the content of your
site is exceeded by the heavy commercial advertizing that you do, I will
not link to you. I have no problem with advertizing (we all have to
support ourselves) but I do have a problem in linking to a site that is
no better than a billboard. I also will not link to sites where, whenever
a new page is opened, secondary "Browser Nag Screens" always pop up to
advertize non-spiritual commercial services.
3>
Multiple Doorway Pages:
If you have more than one top
level domain for your site and the content for both sites are identical
or essentially similar, this has been done with the intent of "fooling"
search engines into unfairly increasing your exposure. This type of
tactic will get you banned from the better search engines. Since I have
gone about doing it the right way - one top level domain name - I will not
support what I view as cheating by providing a reciprocal link.
4>
Free Pages:
If your site is on a third level "free
page", it will be viewed by the major search engines as "just another
hobbyist or personal homepage". Since most major search engines will
not list such pages, they are almost never visited. Therefore, I will
not link to free pages because those people - who will not invest the
small amount that it takes to get a their own domain name and host it -
I view as not being "serious" enough for me to invest the time that it
takes to put up a quality reciprocal link to their site.
5>
Vanity Pages:
If your site is just a tribute to your ego, then
I will not link to it. Ego sites are those which are usually called
"owners-name.com", have pictures the owner plastered all over it on every
page, and tell how "great they art" without giving any evidence of it.
No feeding of egos - mine or yours - is allowed on this site.
6>
No Content:
If your site has no content, then I will
not link to it. "No content" sites are those which only tell how to
contact you (name, address, phone number) and what you do (as in "I am
the best at what I do take just my word for it because I am a credible
person") and give out nothing else. Like it or not, people will form
judgments about you based on your website - and on your website alone. My
judgment of those whose sites are just "buy my book, take my classes,
pay for my services" is they are not coming from a good place and so do
not qualify to be linked to a site of light.
7>
Non-Reciprocal Links:
If you want me to link my site
to yours, then you must link your site to mine. Non reciprocal links
are never considered, unless I deem the site to be of exceptional value.
If you have requested a link from me and did not receive one... I am
greatly sorry that we were unable to help one another through reciprocal
linking. Know that I wish you well on your journey through life.

No Endorsements:
Unless I have personally used a product-service
and can wholeheartedly recommend it, I will not include an ad that reads
like I have. It is just bad karma to "fool" someone else into believing
that something is true that is false. What I prefer is a link
saying "click here for [whatever the ad is about]."
2>
No Content Alteration:
I am not open to a major
alteration of content for advertising purposes. Minor tweaks that are
consistent with the content will be considered on a case by case basis.
The best ads are those where the content of the site is a good fit
for the ad link (related to karma, reincarnation, and past lives).
3>
Home Page-SideBar:
I will not consider placing any
ads or links to user submitted articles on either the home page or the
sidebars of interior pages. Please note that I rarely add content
from external sources to this site.
4>
Index vs Content Pages:
Content pages (which have
information about a particular topic) are what generates traffic. Most
visitors come to the site through a page that search engines have matched
to specific interests. Index pages (which have links to content pages)
are not a good choice for placement of ads.
5>
Three-Way Linking:
Paid (one way links) and reciprocal
(direct two way linking) are fair energy exchanges. I view three way
linking (indirect links) as a way to fool the search engines into rating
a website higher in link popularity than it deserves to be... so therefore
three way links will not be considered.
6>
Recurring Payment:
I am not open to one time payment
for ads (meaning a link must be carried forever for a one time payment).
The ads on this site will be billed as recurring monthly income
because this offsets the monthly cost for running this f~r~e~e site.
This is appropriate for the advertizing value this site delivers. It
also works to detect as well as to discourage dead links.
